Carrie Short serves as Director of Financial Aid at Baldwin Wallace University, where she is passionate about helping students and families navigate the financial aid process with confidence. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, she is recognized for her expertise in federal financial aid policy, regulatory compliance, student-centered service, and leadership during times of significant change.

A dedicated leader within the financial aid profession, Carrie has served in numerous leadership roles with the Ohio Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA), including President, Treasurer, Vice President for Conferences-Elect, and Northeast Regional Representative. She is also active with MASFAA and NASFAA, where she is a Certified Financial Aid Administrator (FAAC), has earned all 15 NASFAA credentials, and facilitates professional credential and certification workshops nationwide. In 2025, she received NASFAA's Gold Star Award for founding the "Better FAFSA" Help Facebook community, which supports more than 44,000 students, families, and college access professionals.

Whether presenting at conferences, mentoring colleagues, or advocating for students, Carrie is committed to making financial aid more accessible, understandable, and equitable for all.
