With over 15 years-experience as a high school counselor, Catherine has coached thousands of students through the college application process and has offered many workshops for both parents and students on topics such as essay writing, scholarships, financial aid and the overall application process. She has been an Essay Team lead and coach for 3 years.

Catherine has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Computer Science from the New York State University of Plattsburgh NY and holds a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the College of Saint Rose.

In addition to coaching countless high school students during her career, she has also coached her own children who have gone on to pursue careers such as a doctor, lawyer, nurse practitioner and chemical engineer.

As a counselor, Catherine understands the anxiety and stress the college application process and especially the college essay process can produce. She prides herself in putting students at ease and giving them the confidence to succeed.
