Futrell

Dan Futrell leads the family advising team at Ariadne College Advisors. As the first in his family to go to college, he has seen firsthand the difference that college can make in someone’s life. He attended Gonzaga University as a D1 athlete (cross country/track) and on a U.S. Army ROTC scholarship, then earned a master’s in public policy from Harvard University as a Tillman Scholar. Outside of Ariadne, he is working to build a new model for college as the founder of Polymath University, a new nonprofit that is interdisciplinary, apprenticeship-based, and debt free. He served five years as an infantry officer in the Army and six years as an elected official on a local school board in Somerville, Massachusetts. He lives in Evanston, Illinois with his wife and two young kids.
