Jocelyn
Thomas

Jocelyn Thomas is a licensed school counselor, educator, and college planning professional with more than 26 years of experience helping students prepare for life after high school. Drawing on her experience as both a high school English teacher and school counselor, she specializes in guiding students and families through the college admissions process with confidence and clarity.
Jocelyn has extensive experience supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds, including first-generation college students and those with IEPs, 504 Plans, and other learning differences. She provides personalized support in college selection, application planning, admissions essays, financial aid, scholarships, and identifying resources that help students successfully transition to postsecondary education.

She is an active member of the Ohio School Counselor Association (OSCA), the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), and the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC). In addition to her work with students and families, Jocelyn teaches graduate-level counseling courses as an adjunct instructor and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at The Ohio State University, where her research focuses on improving postsecondary outcomes for neurodivergent students and students with disabilities.

Jocelyn earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from Bowling Green State University and master’s degrees in School Counseling and Higher Education/Student Affairs from The University of Toledo.
